Dont stress about coupons start with paying attention to deals!!!

So today was coupon/grocery list prep day!!!!

  • I took my time and wen through my fridge and pantry to see what we needed
  • Then I went through the coupons I already had in my organizer
  • I made my list of non coupon items that have a store deal and compared my fav stores ex: Giant food, Safeway, Weis, & Shoppers and a few items i get from CVS
  • Then I made my list for coupon items and if there also on sale at the store
  • Then I decided this week Ill be shopping @ Weis for some items and Giant for the other
  • Weis always has buy one get one FREE items and Weis has a daily double coupon policy
  • Oh yea don't forget know your stores coupon policy
OK I'm  sooooooo excited cant wait to go shopping on Tuesday or Wednesday!!!

I will post my savings and my weekly deals for you all!!!

HOW I BECAME A COUPONER!!!

Growing up my mom always liked to find a coupon or catch a good sale or a deal, so naturally once I became an adult and a mother I  found myself only buying things when it was a sale or with a coupon.

This spring was when I had my coupon "ahha" moment I thought how hard could this be, so I began to google how to get started and I took some tips and customized them for my life and situation.

I then realized while googling couponing I didn't want to be an extreme couponer, with a huge stock pile I just wanted to have immediate items we use and need and maybe a mini stock pile of small items (plus I don't have the space lol).

OK so these are the easy steps that I took to get started:
  1. sign-up,buy,or receive a Sunday Washington Post
  2. receive your local paper ex: gazette, leader,Baltimore sun,&value pack
  3. buy a organizer ( I use a small accordion organizer with slots for coupons that can fit in my purse... sort of)
  4. organize each tab by category (breakfast, snacks, bath&body, restaurants,& immediate use, etc.)
  5. read all your local or favorite store circular/sales paper (pay attn to there start & end sale dates)
  6. take 30 minutes to read and cut your COUPONS (involve your children)
  7. match your circular sales & deals with the coupons you cut
  8. then make a list of the exact product and how many you will buy and what the sale is
  9. example of my list: 3 hamburger helper boxes 75cents off plus bogo 1/2off
  10. also if I don't see all the sales and deals I want I save them in my organizer or
  11. Sign up for 2-3 coupon/money saving blogs/websites to get tips or ways to get your favorite products for close to nothing
These are the easy steps to get started next is how to decide what stores to go to for what and learn how I get toothpaste & deodorant for $1 or free & what blogs i read for tips!!!
